Accuracy is the foundation of everything we publish. This policy describes how we check the facts, figures and claims in our guides, tools and articles.

Sourcing

• We rely on established scientific and engineering principles for explanations of how wind energy works.
• For statistics and data, we prefer reputable sources such as national energy agencies and recognised international bodies.
• We distinguish clearly between well-established facts and illustrative estimates.

Handling numbers and estimates

Many figures in wind energy are ranges rather than fixed values. Where we quote typical values (for example capacity factors or costs), we present them as ranges and label the assumptions. The outputs of our interactive tools are simplified estimates for learning, not precise predictions.

Review process

• New content is checked for factual accuracy and internal consistency before publication.
• Formulas used in tools are verified against standard references.
• We periodically re-check content as technology and data evolve.

Corrections

What we avoid
